Chalet Floralie is a luxury chalet sleeping 12 – 18 guests in St Martin de Belleville, France with direct access into the Three Valleys ski area.

We are looking for a CHALET CHEF to join our team for the 2023/24 Winter Season
Must be EU passport holder or have a valid French Carte de Sejour
We are a privately owned luxury chalet, based in St Martin de Belleville, within the Three Valleys ski area in France, catering for between 12 – 18 guests every week during the Winter season. Fine dining is a huge part of our guest experience so we are looking for an experienced and mature Chef who is extremely capable, organised and good humoured!
You will be required to serve a cooked breakfast 5 mornings per week (creating a rotating daily special) and dinner 6 nights per week (canapes, starter, main course, pudding and cheese board) – you will need to account for any guest dietary requirements that we ascertain in advance. You will also need to make a cake for tea every day (and prepare one in advance for your day off).
You will need to plan your daily menu to a given per head budget and monitor this to ensure it remains on track.
We work to the highest standards with attention to detail in all areas and you will need a good level of stamina as the role involves a lot of time on your feet! You will be working with our Chalet Manager and 2 Chalet Hosts so it is important that you are able to work well as part of a small team and are comfortable with guests who are used to, and expecting, a 5 star service. Immaculate personal presentation and hygiene is essential as you will greet the guests every evening.
Live-in accommodation provided (own room with shared bathroom between the team of 4).
1 full day off per week and 2 mornings off per week with plenty of skiing time each day – Chalet Floralie is opposite the lift station so very easy and immediate access into the Three Valleys ski area. St Martin de Belleville is a lovely, typically French village.

Qualifications Requested: Ability to run kitchen and work alone, serving 12 – 18 guests with fine dining meals (Hosts will serve, clear etc). Must speak fluent English.
